Building core strength can not only help your yoga practice, it can support your inner organs, help your posture, and give you confidence. However, millions of crunches will not necessarily develop core strength and can, in fact, hurt your low back, neck, and shoulders. Weakness in the core can lead to degenerative disk disease in the back and SI issues. Additionally, weak core strength can actually cause constipation and chronic fatigue.

Learn how to better access your core through asana and subtle body movements. Not only will you gain strength, but functionality, as well. Learn how to build proper support for your pelvis, spine, and organs. Learn the importance of balancing the front and back body abdominal muscles by both strengthening and lengthening your core.

This is an all-levels class. Movements will be modified and adjusted based on personal strength and flexibility. EVERYONE is welcome!
