Flow yoga is a fluid style of yoga that links movement with breath for a dynamic mind-body workout. This style of yoga generates heat, builds strength and flexibility, and focuses the mind. Students practice sun salutations, standing and balancing postures, seated forward bends and twists, arm balances, backbends and inversions for a well-rounded and energizing practice. Previous yoga experience recommended.
Gentle Stretch & Restore
Enjoy soothing stretches and poses using props that you can find around your home to support your practice. Includes gentle stretching to help unwind from your day. This practice helps to heal the effects of chronic stress on the body, mind, and spirit. We recommend bringing a yoga blanket or beach towel with you to this class in studio. Open to all levels.
Yin yoga is a slow and deep practice to stretch the connective tissues and joints of the hips, thighs and lower spinal area. Unlike the muscles, which are more yang parts of our bodies, the connective tissues need to be addressed with a quiet attitude of acceptance. Postures are mostly practiced on the floor and can be held from one to 10 minutes. Yin Yoga balances the yin and yang aspect of ourselves, encourages the flow of prana (energy), helps maintain the health of the connective tissues, and helps us develop a mindful practice. We recommend bringing a yoga blanket or beach towel with you to this class in studio.
Yin & Gentle Flow
This soothing practice combines the deep stretching of Yin yoga with gentle flowing yoga. Enjoy long holds for the connective tissues and joints and soothing, slow flows to relieve tension, relax the body, and quiet the mind. Open to all levels.
This class is the perfect antidote to a fast paced lifestyle and a great compliment to other forms of yoga. Ease into a gentle yoga practice including stretching movements, immunity building techniques, and stress-releasing flows. As you feel more relaxed, you will be guided into restorative yoga postures to help bring the body into a state of balance and peace. We recommend bringing a yoga blanket or large beach towel with you to this class in studio.
6-week Beginners Yoga Series
Our 6-week Beginners Yoga Series is a great way to start your yoga practice. This 6-week series (one class a week) teaches new students yoga fundamentals and provides them with the necessary guidance to develop a safe and healing practice. Students learn the basics of yogic breathing, sun salutations, yoga postures, and relaxation techniques. The class is taught in a sequential manner and pre-registration is required. We also offer a pre-recorded online Beginners series and more information on that can be found here.
Gentle Flow Yoga
Gentle flow is a slow, regenerative practice that relieves tension using unwinding stretches and poses that relax the body and quiet the mind. Open to all levels.
Prenatal Yoga uses postures, breathing, and relaxation techniques to help ease pregnancy and delivery and meet the challenges of new motherhood. Prenatal/Postnatal classes help expecting mothers to prepare for labor and allow them to feel strong, confident, and happy at every stage of their pregnancy. If you are a new mother, you will regain strength and learn to relieve stress after a major life change. Our next 6 Week Prenatal Series starts October 27th at 7:15pm. Register here. If you are pregnant and can’t attend Prenatal Yoga during the time offered, we recommend the Gentle Flow, Yin & Gentle Flow, Restorative Yoga & Yin Yoga as appropriate alternatives. Just be sure to let your instructor know that you are pregnant.
Kids and Teen Yoga
