Prenatal Physical Therapy FREE workshop September 25th
This prenatal workshop with licensed Physical Therapist, Rachel Nieman, will help to equip you to take care of your body and baby, and prevent/manage pregnancy aches and pains as they come.
While there is a full spectrum of aches and pains that are attributed with pregnancy, one of the leading complaints of expectant moms is back pain. While everyone is different, the most common causes of mid-pregnancy back pain can be attributed to an increase in hormones, a shift in your body’s center of gravity, weight gain, posture changes and even stress. These factors are often exacerbated by a drop in activity level, leaving many expectant mothers unprepared for the physical challenges ahead.
Back pain, for some ladies, is only the tip of the iceberg. But the good news is that there is much we can do about it. The techniques we will cover can be incorporated into other prenatal care staples like your Yoga practice.
