Postnatal Yoga Workshop February 28th

Being a new mother brings the joy of meeting and loving your child as well as fatigue, tightness in the neck and shoulders, and weakened abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. Join Carrie in this workshop for new mothers and  learn how to refine your yoga practice to suit a body that has recently given birth. During this 2 hour session, new mothers will learn how to find much needed reservoirs of energy, open areas of the body that have become tight from caring for a new baby, and safely rebuild the abdomen and pelvic floor.

 

The workshop will also include a discussion of pranayama (breathing) techniques to help mothers remain grounded and calm during periods of stress and to help sooth crying or colicky babies. Suitable for women who are 6 weeks to 6 months postnatal.
