Mudra and Sound: An Exploration of Subtle Practices

The ancient subtle practices of hand gestures (mudra), mantra and sound shift awareness by directing vital energy into the body in specific resonant patterns. In this exploratory workshop, yoga therapist & guest teacher, Cheryl Fenner Brown will show how adding simple mudras can enliven your asana or meditation practice. You will also learn how to incorporate sound, personalized mantra and chanting into your teaching or daily practice to enhance breath awareness and relaxation, and to reduce stress in times of need off the mat. Appropriate for students and teachers alike. Yoga teachers earn 3 CEU hours for this workshop.
