Arm Balance and Inversion Series with Rachel
This 3-part workshop series will meet 1 Sunday per month from February through April. You may participate in the whole series (recommended) or chose individual workshops. Cost is $90 for the whole series or $35 per workshop. Does part of you believe that only magical people go upside down and they are all hiding some secret from you? Let’s fix that. In this special workshop series we will work with the body to fine tune the strength and flexibility it takes to sustain arm balances and inversions. The three part series will help you build a better cognitive understanding of arm balances and inversions as well as physically explore them in your own body. You’ll get the most out of this series if you’ve been practicing Flow yoga for a while and are ready to dive deep into arm balances and inversions in a safe and supportive environment.
Week 1 | explore bakasana (crow), side bakasana, eka pada konasana 1(one legged sage), titibasana (firefly), bhujapidasana (spider), astavakrasana (8 angle pose), and visvamitrasana.
Week 2 | begin to build strength, awareness, and alignment in order to practice inversions such as: halasana (plow), salamba sarvangasana (shoulder stand), shirshasana (headstand A&B).
Week 3 | dive deeper into playful inversions like pincha mayurasana (forearm stand), ganda bherundasana (chin stand), and adho mukha vrksasana (handstand).
Week 1 | Sunday, February 7, 2016 | 1:00 – 3:00
