Heal Your Hips & Shoulders Saturday 4-6pm

Hips and shoulders mirror one another in the body. They are both rotational joints that take a lot of stress. As Americans, we ask a lot of our hips and shoulders by sitting, slouching, computing, and commuting. Join Mary, Saturday September 13, from 4:00-6:00pm for this therapeutic workshop where we will:

 

  • Examine how the shoulder and hip joints function and how they relate to one another.
  • Take a whole body approach to therapeutically address pain in the shoulders and hips.
  • Move from the outside in – using the arms to access the shoulders and the legs to access the hips in a traditional asana practice.
  • Move from the inside out – using a therapeutic practice called SATYA (sensory awareness training for yoga attunement) to re-organize the messages the brain sends to the muscles to support the joints.
