Meditation is one of the essential “limbs” or practices of yoga, offering refreshment and rejuvenation to body, heart, and mind. A regular meditation practice has been shown to modulate stress responses, enhance integration of thought and emotion, and improve functioning in many areas — but even more than these benefits, meditation allows for clearer vision of your inner self: your natural creativity, intentionality, compassion, and joy. In these two hours, we’ll include accessible paths to mindfulness and stillness; including pranayama (breathing practices), moving meditations, and seated meditations with mantra and guided imagery. You’ll leave refreshed and relaxed, with practices you can continue on your own.
