Creating space to breathe impacts these reactions, allowing you to slow down and give yourself room to respond differently. Come learn about the mind/body connection and the ways breathing impacts the nervous system. You’ll explore the circumstances and thinking patterns that contribute to your anxiety. After opportunities for self-reflection, you will learn breathing practices, restorative yoga poses and meditation practices to ease your mind and relax your body. You’ll leave with new insights and strategies to better cope with life’s inevitable challenges. Register

Treat yourself to a feast for the senses, an afternoon session of restorative yoga, Reiki, and therapeutic aromatherapy in the Urban Zen style with integrative yoga therapist Cheryl Fenner Brown and a guest reiki practitioner. You will be guided through a gentle restorative practice using bolsters, blankets and other props to fully support the body is restful reclining positions. Reiki will then be applied to the body through light touch, directing healing energy where it is most needed. The space will be infused with pure essential oils to further engage the senses and to relax the mind and emotions. These modalities combine to create a blissful afternoon experience that will ease the stress and strain of daily life.
