Luxuriate in a gentle, restorative yoga class while enjoying healing energy through the hands of Reiki practitioners and yoga teachers Meg Flaherty and Rochelle Ellis. You will be lead to gently stretch and settle into supported poses that encourage your nervous system to fully relax. As you restore into stillness, Meg and Rochelle will offer Reiki healing energy through light touch. Experience tension reduction, release anxiety, and nourish your body, mind, and spirit. For those who prefer not to be touched, Reiki healing energy can be provided with hands held above the body, so direct contact is not required.

 

Each class in this 3 week series will focus on a different part of the body corresponding with the chakras, or energy centers, of the body, moving from feet to crown.

 

Week 1, June 10th: The first class will center around the lower body root and sacral chakras.

 

Week 2, June 17th: The second class will focus on the abdominal and solar plexus areas, chakras 3 and 4.

 

Week 3, June 24th: The final class will target shoulder, neck and head, chakras 5, 6, and 7.

Come learn about the mind/body connection and the ways breathing impacts the nervous system. You’ll explore the circumstances and thinking patterns that contribute to your anxiety. After opportunities for self-reflection, you will learn breathing practices, restorative yoga poses and meditation practices to ease your mind and relax your body. You’ll leave with new insights and strategies to better cope with life’s inevitable challenges.
