Have you been wondering how to take the bliss you find on your yoga mat home with you? Are you interested in deepening your understanding of yoga as a lifestyle and daily practice? In this series we will work together to create daily yoga rituals, deepen your understanding of yogic philosophy in a practical way, and build a tool box to help you keep growing and learning.

Session 1, November 5th – Sadhana
Sadhana is a spiritual practice and the cornerstone of living a yogic life. In this first session we will review the tools and skills necessary for establishing a disciplined sadhana practice that is appropriate for the individual practitioner. In this welcoming session we will engaged with ceremony, discussion, yoga asana practice, journal making, and community.
Session 2, November 12th – Dinacharya and Ayurveda
This session will re-focus one’s attention on living within the pulsation of nature that allows for optimal health. Participants will learn about their own personal doshic composition and practices for creating healthy habits. We will practice and use yoga asana as a tool to both build energy as well as create calm.
Session 3, November 19th – Meditation and Mindful Living
What does it mean to live mindfully? How do I start a meditation practice? In this informative and experimental session on meditaiton participants will be lead through practice and lecture and finally invited into discussion that deeply integrates the newly acquired information.
Session 4, December 3rd – Patanjali’s 8 limb path of Yoga
In this session we will learn more about Patajanli’s 8-fold path of yoga and how to apply it’s wisdom in modern life. This week will be fueled by discussion, yoga practice, contemplation, and reflection.
Session 5, December 10th – Pranayama, Mantra, and Sacred Texts
In the final session we will explore different styles of pranayama (controlled breathing), learn and practice several mantras, and explore texts that will allow for continued growth and development.

About Desiree: Desiree Rumbaugh is an internationally recognized yoga teacher with unquenchable enthusiasm for life, love and healing. She blends playful humor with an authentic inquiry into the nature of being to bring the ancient teachings of wisdom into the asana practice and then into modern life. Desiree will be joined by her husband, Andrew Rivin, an E-RYT 500 certified yoga teacher and a mindfulness coach. He has spent the last ten years traveling the globe teaching yoga classes and workshops, and assisting Desiree.
